A Socially Awkward Teen

Hi! So recently, I decided to go shopping. I’m not normal a huge shopper, but it was my great grandma’s 90th birthday and I needed a nice dress for pictures. So I decided to go to Ross Dress For Less. Don’t judge me. Now, as you probably know, in a Ross Dress For Less, anything goes.  Anyway, I was having trouble finding a dress that I would wear to a 90th birthday party and not a Vegas Night Club. But I just couldn’t. So I decided I would probably wear something I already had.  But, being the homeschooled quarantine socially awkward teen that I am, I was so petrified that someone would think I had done something wrong if I didn’t buy a dress. So I got a dress and headed to the fitting rooms. I got my clothes number and headed to a stall. The lock was a bit janky but I managed. I went back out and headed for my cart but was stopped by a worker who said I needed to give him my card. I did not have my card.  He forced me to go back to the changing room TWICE but I couldn’t find anything

(Chonk for the win!) to make simply mix two small purple sweet potatoes, three tablespoons of white flour, and a cup of cooked oatmeal. Bake at three fifty for seven to ten minutes and enjoy!

Millionaire Shortbread

Image
This is my go-to sweet treat recipe, everyone is obsessed! There’s a thick layer of buttery shortbread topped with creamy peanut butter caramel and covered in crunchy chocolate with peanuts. We all love to dip the cookie in our morning coffees or for a little dessert. I hope you enjoy this quick recipe!  For Shortbread:  2 sticks of softened butter  3/4 cup of powdered sugar  1 tablespoon vanilla  2 cups sifted white flour  1/3 cup of water  For Caramel:  1 cup white sugar  6 tablespoons salted butter 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream  1/2 cup chunky peanut butter  For decoration:  Chopped peanuts  Chocolate to taste  Sea Salt Flakes   Whisk up the shortbread cookies. Cut into bars. Bake at 325 for 5-10 minutes, until soft and yummy.  Place a bar in each mold. Chill while making caramel.  Whisk up caramel until slightly thickened. Spread on shortbread. Add dark chocolate and nuts and salt.  Let cool until solid when popped out.

Christmas to do list:

Here is a handy to do list now that the Christmas season is really upon us. I hope this will help you stay organized while appreciating the spirit and joy of this holiday. We all know they can get a little stressful, but if we keep organized and focus on blessings and gratitude, there is nothing we can’t handle.  1. Put up your decorations. You can go minimal or bold but we all know the importance of some decor. Hopefully the second your tree is up you’ll instantly feel more Christmasy.  2. Volunteer or help someone in need. This is a little cat with special needs. Sometimes he wobbles when he walks. I love him. Spread the Christmas love this season.  3. Dream of a white Christmas, and take advantage of the snow days we do have. Snowball fights, snow angels, sledding, the possibilities are endless. Spend these days outside and don’t waste them. Take the days off from responsibilities.  4. Do your Christmas baking. Package up boxes to send to neighbors and family.  5. Test out Christma
