What crafting has taught me about mistakes.
It is ok to make mistakes in life.
Sometimes it is hard to accept failure, but most times the hardest thing is being able to move on. When you make a mistake in your sketching or painting or any craft at all, you’d probably crumple it up and throw it away. But once you learn the power of mistakes, it can be easier to accept your work and move on to do better. The power of mistakes is that they open up thousands of new paths for you to take your project down. Maybe you splashed ink on your self portrait. You could paint over it once it dries, or add even more ink to “see what happens.” Mistakes are just dreams waiting to be discovered.
