For some of us, school is just around the bend. For others it might already have come. So let’s make the most of these last summer days and enjoy some crafting and relaxation.
1. Cut your dog’s hair for the new season swiftly approaching.
2. Throw a back to school party.
3. Take a short overnight trip.
4. Walk in the woods.
5. Take your friends out for drinks, or make some homemade lemonade at home.
6. Go for a drive alone with your thoughts.
7. Garden, and watch things bloom through the next semester.
8. Try a new makeup or hair look to rock back at school.
9. Bake a cake for your back to school party.
10. Watch an old childhood movie. (Happy LOTR birthday my beloved father!)
11. Get up early! Just kidding- sleep as much as you can.
12. Have a doggy play date, or incorporate this idea into your back to school party.
13. Have a themed food night like Thai or Chinese. Or, like us, Mexican.
14. Learn a new card game. Hand and foot was a hit!
15. Chalk your patio.
16. Visit places in your area you’ve always wanted to see.
17. Go to a pop concert.
18. Try to avoid getting seriously injured . . .
19. Paint the sky.
20. Download some new apps and games.
21. Make soaps.
22. Go to a rock concert.
23. Cook for your family. Check out my coma inducing recipes that my family enjoyed immensely.
24. Make a friend a mug cake.
25. Cuddle some cats. Just make sure to wear a huge hoodie like I did to keep from getting SERIOUSLY INJURED.
26. Document the beauty you find in nature.
27. Document the beauty you find in cats.
28. Go to the library and check out some books.
29. Visit a farm.
30. Build a pillow fort, for yourself or for a dog.
And remember, just because summer is almost over, there is plenty of more fun ahead. For example, soon the Part 2 of this post will come out. . . And it has awesome ideas for kids who have just gone back to school!
