Homemade seasonings to go with any food (healthy, too!)
Sour (and salty):
In a food processor, combine the juice from 2 lemons, 1 tablespoon thyme, 1/2 tablespoon parsley, and 3 tablespoons cilantro. Blend until the herbs have the texture of a chiffonade https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwit353B8LP_AhUxMVkFHUoIAhgQFnoECEcQAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FChiffonade&usg=AOvVaw0hsGIhaEDwUno2P3_eqR-7 without all the work of doing the complicated cut. Add 1 tablespoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of cracked black pepper, and you are good to go! (In the picture, this sauce is on the far left)
Garlic Salt
(The second jar in the picture)
This is great for popcorn and my homemade potatoes recipe. Using a spoon, whisk up 2 tablespoons of salt, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 1 pinch of cumin, and 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley.
Sweet Mixer
(Third jar in the picture)
This is a household favorite when mixed with some espresso. It turns boring coffee into a mocha.
Mix up a quarter cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons of light blue agave (or clover honey), 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 2 cups of water.
Spicy (but not too spicy!) Salt
(Last jar in pic)
Which up 3 tablespoons of salt, 1 tablespoon of chili powder, 1/2 tablespoon of paprika, 1 pinch of cumin, 2 teaspoons of red pepper, 1 teaspoon of tajhin seasoning, and 1 teaspoon of Slap ya mamma seasoning.
Here is what all the things go best on.
