My latest poetry installation: 2 haikus and 2 weird limericks
I didn’t say I was a good poet. I just said I write poetry. Lower your expectations and prepare for some of the best-intentioned-yet-still-bad poetry of your life!
Haikus:
Rain
I wished for the rain
To quench the land’s burning thirst
And God heard my prayer.
Family
Family, tall oak,
Stretching, ending, at the sky
No storm can break you.
Limericks:
Disembodied Feet
There once was an old man from Spain
Who flew into a plain
His head cracked like an egg
Yet his feet walked away
And flew back home in his plane.
Squeaky Duck
There once was a squeaky old duck
Who lived in a little girl’s tub
But then came a day
Where he swam down the drain
He died screaming in the muck.
Like I said, pretty bad. Hoped it at least made you smile!
It did make me smile!
