Crafting - My Year in Review

The year is coming to a close. What have I been up to?

First of all, I started this blog. I created Cool Christian Crafter to bring a little light, humor, and art into the world. I want people to get in touch with their inner artist, with a little help from this safe, Christian blog.

A week ago I crafted in Paris and London. These beautiful cities not only provided iconic coffee tables and stone benches in lush parks to journal on. They gave me inspiration and hope for my crafting future. I am indebted to Europe for that.

While in Europe, I visited Yayoi Kusama’s infinity rooms. Kusama is my favorite artist and this experience is one I will treasure forever. Kusama’s art hits close to home because my grandfather also suffers from hallucinations. It’s his birthday today! I love the idea that beautiful masterpieces can be created from hard, sometimes scary hallucinations. I also enjoyed getting to literally peek inside Kusama’s mind.

I’ve also learned a lot from creating this blog. I’ve learned that we have the power to create light and joy. I’ve learned that everyone has the power to be creative. And I’ve learned most of all, that God is the most crafty creator of all time.

God loves you! Have a great year!
