Best Creative Things to do in London!

If you are planning a trip to Europe, you have to start with London. It is the gateway city of Europe, because they speak the language and everything is only a tad different from home. But if you love the opportunity to do anything creative, like me, you will have to stop by these places. You might even find something from me there. . .

Abbey Road: This combines two creative energies - music and drawing. If you like music or the Beatles, you will love stopping at this iconic landmark. Snap a picture too! But don’t go barefoot like Paul - it was sooo muddy. The drawing aspect comes from the pillars and walls on one side of the road. Tons of people who have walked Abbey Road have signed their names on the wall. So I popped into the Abbey Road shop, bought a permanent marker, and added my name as well. Graffiti that isn’t too discouraged. (By the way, I might be wanted in London right now.) See if you can spot me if you go!

Graffiti Tunnel: Right by the Tate Modern is a graffiti tunnel that is just what the name entails. Many famous artists have imprinted their work all over that tunnel and now you can too! You won’t be able to get spray paint through the airport (and believe me, we’ve tried), so just use some permanent markers to sketch a little design of your own. I drew a path of encouragement arrows hidden in the regular graffiti designs for acute eyes to follow to the end. See if you can find them too!

Tate Modern: If you’re going to the graffiti tunnel, you have to stop by the Tate Modern. There is a whole lot of it, but the main place you should look at is Yayoi Kusama’s room. She suffers from hallucinations of being in infinity rooms filled with dots, and so she made replicas of those rooms so you too can be in her fitful visions. #CreepyCool

Warner Bros Studio: If you like crafting, you are sure to love the Harry Potter studio’s tour. You can see almost all of the sets used in the movies, watch videos on how they were made, and learn how the materials became the iconic movie scenes we remember today.

West End: So many great musicals live on the British version of Broadway. We saw one every night and weren’t sorry. These shows will awaken the musician/writer in you and they are sure to inspire.

I hope these ideas have helped you plan your British Trip. I hope you have a creative adventure!
