Unique Photography in Three Steps

I love photography! I try to create something special when I snap a pic. Something unique. Something creative. All you need to create awesome pictures is your phone/device.

Step 1: Perspective.

The first creative pic I ever did was of my hot glue gun. I was told to photograph what I love. Crafts, obvi.

This was that pic:

Not bad for a beginner, but (to be totally honest with myself) it’s BORING. I want to make something that will inspire, and make you think. So I decided to aim my camera from a different angle.

Next time your photography gives you trouble, simply change the angle. (Also a good motto for life, eh?) This gave PERSPECTIVE to my pic and made you think.

Step 2: Filters and editing.

Most of the time I try to keep my pics as natural as possible. I don’t like a photo that looks severely edited.  But sometimes, if the lighting is bad, I’ll snap on a filter, as long as it still looks realistic. Below is a photograph I took:

This is an almost completely natural pic I took. All I did was increase that beautiful lighting, without making it look fake.

My other thing I love to do to pics is flip them upside down.

Step 3: Developing your own style!
Everyone has a unique style. It can be a theme in your work or photography, or it could be an idea you

embody in your images. My “theme” is reflecting God’s glory in my work.

I take many nature photographs, because I am constantly in awe of the beautiful trees and animals God has created.
