Christmas to do list:

Image
Here is a handy to do list now that the Christmas season is really upon us. I hope this will help you stay organized while appreciating the spirit and joy of this holiday. We all know they can get a little stressful, but if we keep organized and focus on blessings and gratitude, there is nothing we can’t handle.  1. Put up your decorations. You can go minimal or bold but we all know the importance of some decor. Hopefully the second your tree is up you’ll instantly feel more Christmasy.  2. Volunteer or help someone in need. This is a little cat with special needs. Sometimes he wobbles when he walks. I love him. Spread the Christmas love this season.  3. Dream of a white Christmas, and take advantage of the snow days we do have. Snowball fights, snow angels, sledding, the possibilities are endless. Spend these days outside and don’t waste them. Take the days off from responsibilities.  4. Do your Christmas baking. Package up boxes to send to neighbors and family.  5. Test out Christma

Make a Christmas Cyclone

And other experiments!  Ingredients: baking soda, vinegar, water, oil, green food dye.  First, add the water and the oil and let the oil go to the top. Don’t stir. Drip the food coloring on top. Watch as it drops down. After a moment, it will make fireworks. I’ve made a video on that before. Next, add baking soda and vinegar. Stir.  Add a few more drops of dye if you like. Soon they will rise back to the top like a lava lamp. Now, stir with a spoon lightly, just in the top layer of oil. A cyclone will be formed!  If you want another experiment, lift your spoon through the top oil as though you’re trying to scoop it out. Drop it back in and watch as the blobs flop around.

Materials:  Thick yarn  Glue gun  Five glue sticks (depending on jar size)  Clear jar  Faux flowers  Hot glue the chunky yarn around the jar, until it is completely covered. Hot glue the flowers on top.  Such a simple project but with amazing results!
