Morning Motivation

 

You are not responsible for your emotions. You are responsible for your actions. The emotions you feel are the brain’s way of sending subconscious signals to your heart. These emotions might signify what you need to do next for your emotional and physical health. Sadness may mean you need to cry on a friend’s shoulder. Fatigue may mean you need to exercise and eat healthier. This is why it is important to feel all your emotions. They are just little messages telling you what you need. 

For the people who feel no control. That painful emotion may be misinterpreted as a signal to try your best to control everything. The people around you, even leading you to repress your own emotions and turn into a people pleaser or an uptight control freak. So here is the best advice I have. 

Take a step to the side. 

You don’t need to leap ahead, be in control of everything, take several steps forward. Change is scary, and it is not under your control. But you don’t need to step back into your own old ways too. You don’t need to step back. Ok? 

Step to the side. Breathe. Take a moment. And slowly, you’ll progress forward. 

All you need to do is take a step to the side.
