How to make a simple ring

Need some jewelry to brighten your fingers? With this easy to follow guide, you’ll have beautifully adorned fingers in no time!

You’ll need:

1 cheap, plastic beaded necklace

Hot glue gun

Hot melt glue gun sticks

1 plastic star, gem, or other decoration

Scissors

Cut a small portion of your beaded necklace off. Measure it against the width of your finger, and then double the amount.

Hot glue the ends together, to make the base of your ring.

Hot glue your charm on top!

BONUS FEATURE: Hot glue hacks

Refrigerate your hot glue melt sticks to reduce those pesky glue gun hairs!

Use a sewing needle to unclog your glue gun (make sure the glue gun is unplugged!)

To successfully attach something with hot glue, hold the charm down gently with one finger, while another finger keeps the base attached.

I like it when the hot glue is warm but not too warm, at more of a slime consistency than a liquid. It makes things less painful overall, and I think it keeps things attached longer.

You can make homemade erasers from hot glue. Check out my craft hack posts!

If something is stuck in an impossible place, (in the grooves of your shoe, in cracks, etc) attach a small bit of hot glue to a toothpick and apply the toothpick to the item. Pull gently when hardened.

Most of my posts contain hot glue ideas! Type “hot glue” in the search bar at the top of the Cool Christian Crafter webpage and at least 11 posts show up.

As always, be playful and consider the other uses for hot glue, besides the norm.

I love you guys so much! Byeeeeee!
