How to make a shibori dyed tablecloth

Shibori is a Japanese way of tie dying fabric. For your fabric, don’t choose anything too soft. I used some sturdy canvas for this, and the results were beautiful!

Fold the fabric into a square. Grab some rubber bands and secure the folded fabric in place.

Place the folded fabric in a large bucket you don’t mind getting dirty. Fill the bucket with slightly warmed water. Pour about 5 tablespoons of indigo shibori dye into the bucket.

Make sure you’re wearing rubber latex gloves 🧤 when you work to protect your hands.

Swirl the fabric around in the blue water.

Drain the bucket.

Let your tablecloth dry in the bucket.

When the tablecloth is COMPLETELY dry, take off the rubber bands and unfold your fabric. Isn’t it beautiful?

Have a lovely day! God loves you and so do I!
