What to do when cooped up indoors

The weather outside is frightful, but the crafting is so delightful. . .

So, it’s getting colder, and you might find yourself cooped up inside. And you might get bored.

Here are a few ideas of super fun things to do when you can’t go outside, that are unique and interesting. I promise you, these ideas will make you want to be bored!

1. Write a play. Not just any play - make some sets, sew some costumes, and have a friend video you. You can even hold auditions for family members, siblings, and friends to be cast as parts.

2. Reading marathon! Much better than movie marathons, if you ask me. Blare some music, make a comfy nook in your room, and grab a pile of your favorite books. Hello, Dostoevsky!

3. Create your own world. Make a map of your imagined place, create the creatures out of cups (see my cute cup monster blog post), and even write down your own language. Very Tolkien-esque.

4. Hold a family competition. Maybe a not boring board game. Or you can make your own!

5. Film your own movie. Use your phone to video something and write your own script! I love this idea and have filmed a horror movie called “Don’t run with scissors.”

Have fun beating boredom and I love you all so much! Bye!
