Interior Design Ideas 1 the bedroom

 Who doesn’t love a little redecorating? You can brighten a space with textiles, colors, and unique pieces. Mainly I’m going to be talking about how to incorporate colors into your spaces. 

I’ll have a couple of posts on the subject, so look out for the next one! 

First let’s talk about redecorating the bedroom based on a black and white color palette that screams minimalism!

To start thinking about redecorating, simply pick two colors. Let’s use black and white as an example. 

Then, pick a color in between the two. Gray. Now you have your three colors, the first two as mains and the in between one as an accent.

The focal point of a bedroom is the textiles on the bed. Pick a patterned black fabric (or whatever your first main color is) for the pillows. Then, for the blanket, pick a textile that is mostly white with a bit of the gray accent. Then drape a solid color blanket over the foot of the bed. 

Paint the bed frame black to match and tie in all the textile colors. 

For the walls, use the accent color and one of the mains in a whimsical mural or simply a solid main color. Then use black wainscoting or whatever your first main color is, to create an organized look. 

On the bedside table, paint it one of your main colors and use the accent on the knobs. Use the other main on the lamp base and an accented pattern on the shade.

All throughout your decorating, remember your main colors and your accent.
