How to make your room look clean and pretty

 It is hard to have both an aesthetically pleasing room, a clean room, and a functional room, but we can make it work. Listen to a podcast or some music, grab a trash bag and a roll of paper towels, and get cleaning! 

Pull back your curtains and tie them in place with a rubber band or scrap of ribbon. See how open your room is? 

Making your bed is quick. Wash sheets and pillowcases if they need, and here’s how to make a pretty bed. 

Before:

Throw everything on the floor. Start with the fitted sheet, tucking it into the mattress. Put the second sheet on, and then your pillows. 

Roll up your extra blankets on the foot of the bed. Put your largest blanket over the rest of the bed, and fold it back right in front of the pillows.

Pick up all dirty clothes and put them in the laundry. You can fold them later. 

Straighten up your nightstand. Put a jar on it as a catchall, so if you are writing in bed, throw your pen in there. Once the jar gets full, empty it out and put everything away. 

Collect all papers and sort them into throw away, store, or display. 

Contain all crafts and supplies in bins. 

Vacuum and dust.
