 It’s December 6, and we’ve been decorated for Christmas for over a month. So a Christmas decorating post is long overdue. Here I have compiled my top classy and cute ideas for Christmas decorating, complete with pictures of my own home. Enjoy!

First, you need to get festive. Blare some Christmas tunes and grab some eggnog. Now, break out the bins of Christmas decorations I know are shoved in the back of that storage closet. Ah, hello Santa beards! 

1. Rule of Threes 

This is a trick all professional interior designers use. Group your Christmas tchotchkes into threes, whether that means a stack of three Christmas song books, or three Christmas cards on the coffee table. This is the number that will keep your space from feeling cluttered, but still have enough joy to make you feel Christmasy! 


2. Utilize leftover ornaments. Fill a glass bowl with classy ornaments following the same color and shape scheme. Use as a Christmas table centerpiece!

3. Try out a cute card holder! 

4. Keep track of the days! 

5. Keep track of whose drink is whose with these cocktail ornaments! 
6. Cute candles 
7. Try a different type of tree 

8. Cozy blankets and sparkly pillows add a winter theme 
9. Garlands tie the whole house together. Use classic green or fake diamond 
10. Cozy living room scene
