Fall is ending. . . What now?

Well, winter’s coming. The bright colors of autumn are fading into gray misty frosts and the smell of warm cinnamon. If you are feeling bored this holiday season, we have some tips to help you get back on track and ready for winter!

. Craft-vent. We all love the classic advent calendars, but why not make a craft-vent calendar? Take some cheap mini-drawstring bags, or use wrapping/tissue paper, and order some mini-craft supplies. Buttons, googly eyes, and feathers are a great way to start. Make a craft project per day by unwrapping a craft.

. Read by the fire. Set aside 20 minutes on the weekend to cozy up with some blankets and a Christmasy book.

. Make cookies! Dig out an old recipe instead of one online and teach the kids about the Christmas treats you used to make with your family. Compile the recipes you learn together and make a family cookbook! Make some pretty art to decorate the cover!

. Watch a Christmas Movie marathon. If you need a day to adjust before any Christmas stress (#Christmas shopping), make some popcorn and relax with all the Christmas Classics.

. Homemade gift swap. Christmas shopping can sometimes lead us away from the true meaning of Christmas, Christ’s birth. So let’s get back in tune with the spirit of giving, and make homemade gifts this year instead.
And trust me, there will definitely be a few posts concerning DIY gifts.

Merry Christmas!

God loves you!
