Tis the season to be jolly. . . the best Christmas Ideas!

Yes, I know it is only November. But Christmas is the best holiday of the entire year and we like to do it up right!

We start decorating Nov. 1st. Why? Well, partly because we’re crazy, but it also feels fun to have the whole house feeling warm and festive. It gets us in the holiday mood and the holiday mood is a great feeling. So you can expect tons of Christmas posts in the near future.

Here are the best Christmas Ideas to kickstart the holiday season!

. Decorate early. Because, as I stated above, it helps make you feel cheerful and happy.

. Try out new recipes! We bake tons of fun treats that take a spin on the classic Christmas cookies. You can look forward to many posts on the matter in the upcoming months.

. Create homemade advent calendars! With an advent calendar, you open one square for every day of December leading up to Christmas. Fill it with wine for the growned folks and chocolate for the kids. My personal favorite advent calendar is one filled with craft supplies. Even my Pookie dog got one filled with dog treats.

. Book advent. Great for the readers in the family. Pop by at a second-hand bookstore and collect a book for every December day leading up to Christmas and have fun reading one each day.

. Christmas lights! Not a light fan yourself? (Vampire.) Drive around your neighborhood looking at the lights in the bushes or the porch. Make some hot chocolate and maybe even wear your pajamas!

. Fun Christmas Card shoot! Is it hard for the little kids to sit/stand still for the Christmas Card photo? Consider wearing all matching pajamas and doing silly faces to make for a fun, unique photo.

. Christmas Newsletter! Type out all of the fun Christmas goings-on on your device, print out a few copies, and mail to family and friends. What a fun way to keep your loved ones updated, if, as a hypothetical situation, there happens to be something keeping you apart like, oh, a world wide pandemic?

. Make homemade wrapping paper: This really personalizes the Christmas gifts. Let the kids draw all over some copy paper, then wrap the paper in that. So fun!

. Carol: This doesn’t really need an explanation, eh?

. Watch Christmas Movies and rate them.

I hope you have a few ideas stored away that will help make this holiday season even brighter! And, if you are still lacking inspiration, don’t worry. This post is only the beginning.
