 This is my first post in a series about multi media art journals!

I’m so excited to share this with you. First let’s talk about art journals: what they are and why I love them.

Art journals are essentially notebooks or sketch pads filled with different textural elements, art, drawings, paintings, and a short amount of text. This makes an art journal different from, say, a diary. Though you can really make it what you want; it has a lot of freedom that way. 

I love art journals because they really let me experiment in a fun way all these different mediums. They are probably the most inspiring craft out there. 

So, let’s talk supplies. You really don’t need anything fancy. And remember to always be curious about what materials you can use. All you really need is a notebook or sketching pad, a pencil, and some paint. Of course, you can use ribbon, tapes, glitter, and really anything.
